I was responsible for modeling, composing and lighting the Diamond Armory in the belly of Sanctuary 3. This is meant to be the ultimate loot chest of the game so we wanted it to feel special and be a spectacle for the player. The room lies dormant when the player initially enters, and only comes alive once it is activated, for a short amount of time. Collaborating with the rigging and animation teams in figuring out how the trays would unfold from the tracks in the floor, to the different lighting scenarios each phase of the reveal would entail presented exciting challenges. Our great FX team punched up the impact of all that loot with their brilliant effects driving home the spectacle of the armory.
